Oregon Coast & Southwest Washington

One free membership. Rewards at every business that runs them.

Coasties connects independent businesses across the northern Oregon Coast and the Long Beach Peninsula in Southwest Washington. One free membership gives you one account, and that account opens the rewards program of every participating business — each with its own earning rules, its own reward, and its own terms.

A membership is free and covers every town on the coast. Points are earned where a business can verify your purchase and identify you as a member, and they stay with the business that issued them: they are not transferable, and they are not spendable at another business.

Explore the coast

The directory covers thirteen coastal towns, north to south. Each town page lists the businesses and offers confirmed there, and links to the neighbouring towns north and south. Nothing is listed until it has been checked: at the time of writing no partner business has been accepted yet, so no offer is live and no event is published, and a town page shows only what is actually confirmed rather than a placeholder.

Each town has its own page at thecoasties.com/coast/ followed by the town name. A town page carries the local businesses and live offers published for that town — food and drink, shopping, things to do and local services — and links to the towns either side of it. A town page stays out of search results until it holds confirmed partners or live offers, rather than existing as an empty page built to rank.

  • Services — local services that support residents and visitors.
  • Events — upcoming events grouped by town, each with its date, venue, admission and the date it was last checked.

How rewards work

  1. Join once, free

Create one member account and pick the town you visit most. There is no fee to join, and browsing the directory never needs an account at all.

  2. Earn under each business’s own rules

A participating business credits points on eligible spend, on visits, or on eligible items where its system supports it — through a connected till, or at the counter when staff record the purchase against your member code. A purchase the business cannot tie to a member earns nothing.

  3. Redeem with the business that issued them

Each business sets the reward, the points needed, and its redemption requirements and exclusions, and publishes those terms on its own program. Points earned at one business are not spendable at another. A refund reverses only the points that belong to the refunded goods, and points already earned are never removed because a business later changes its rules.

Businesses and events are checked before they are published

Coasties is a connected local network and a free membership, not a marketplace: it does not sell on a business’s behalf, does not take bookings and does not take payment for anyone else’s goods. The shop page is a preview of what will be listed there — nothing in it is on sale, no item carries a price, no checkout is connected and no order can be placed. Every business, offer and event is submitted as pending and read by a person before it goes live, checked against a real source. Details that cannot be confirmed — opening hours, street addresses, phone numbers, event dates — are left off rather than guessed. Published pages show when they were last checked. Sample and demo content is clearly labelled as a demonstration and never appears as a real business, offer or review.

Anyone can send a correction, with no account needed, at the suggest a listing page. How listings are verified is set out on the about page, and how member reviews are moderated is set out in the review policy.

For local businesses

Coasties introduces coastal residents and visitors to a local business, and gives it the tools to run its own rewards: choose what earns, at what rate, with which reward and terms, then activate it. The business funds and honours its own reward; Coasties supplies the member accounts, the platform, network promotion and reporting. A business can read its own activity, connect a supported sales system, or use the staff-assisted counter workflow instead. What joining involves is set out on the for businesses page. Owners of coastal rental properties have their own programme on the property owners page.

What does a business membership cost?

A founding partner pays $249 per location per month, and that rate applies to the first 100 accepted founding businesses. Every partner accepted after the founding pool is filled pays the standard rate of $299 per location per month. There is no setup fee, no annual commitment and no introductory price that expires — it is month to month. Nothing is charged until Coasties launches with at least 100 partner businesses, and submitting the inquiry form does not authorise billing. Terms already accepted with an existing partner are never back-charged.
