Local membership and rewards on the Oregon Coast

Coasties is a local membership and rewards community for the northern Oregon Coast and the Long Beach Peninsula in Southwest Washington. Members discover independent local businesses, save the offers they like, collect them in store, and earn points that can be spent on rewards across the network.

One membership covers every town on the coast. Joining is free, your points never expire, and your balance is shared across every partner business rather than locked to one shop.

Explore the coast

The directory covers eleven coastal towns, north to south. Each town page lists the local businesses and live offers confirmed there, and links to the neighbouring towns north and south.

Each town has its own page at thecoasties.com/coast/ followed by the town name. A town page carries the local businesses and live offers published for that town — food and drink, shopping, things to do and local services — and links to the towns either side of it. A town page stays out of search results until it holds confirmed partners or live offers, rather than existing as an empty page built to rank.

How earning works

  1. Join once, free

Create a member account and pick the town you visit most. There is no fee to join.

  2. Collect offers along the coast

Browse the offers published by partner businesses, save the ones you want, and claim them in store. Your digital membership card carries the code staff confirm.

  3. Earn points and spend them

Points are added when a partner confirms your visit, and can be spent on rewards in the catalogue. Your balance is shared across the whole network.

Businesses and events are checked before they are published

Coasties is a directory and membership programme, not a marketplace: it does not sell products or take bookings. Every business, offer and event is submitted as pending and read by a person before it goes live, checked against a real source. Details that cannot be confirmed — opening hours, street addresses, phone numbers, event dates — are left off rather than guessed. Published pages show when they were last checked. Sample and demo content is clearly labelled as a demonstration and never appears as a real business, offer or review.

Anyone can send a correction, with no account needed, at the suggest a listing page. How listings are verified is set out on the about page, and how member reviews are moderated is set out in the review policy.

For local businesses

Coasties brings coastal residents and visitors through the door and gives a local business a profile, live offers and a place in the town directory. What joining involves is set out on the for businesses page. Owners of coastal rental properties have their own programme on the property owners page.
